As I was running low on my main PC hard drive space down as well as my old P3 home server box, I have decided to order my first home NAS because my IT director just recently ordered ICY BOX NAS4220,which I had a good look at at the office. When the box arrived, I had upgraded firmware to the latest one, which allows me to install other applications like MC, SSH, streamripper etc. I have installed some of them and set myself on quest to install subversion. This is what I have been doing all nights for last couple of days. I have managed to installed old version, but I was not able to compile the latest one yet. I am writing the web interface to manage SVN repositories and users just now.

Watch this space I will post my package here.

You’ve just acquired a new frequent reader, because SVN on the ICY is what I am really looking for. There are some people who have done it before but they all either did it on alternative linux distros or by cross compiling. I am hoping for a ready-made package to install by copying it into “new software” and have it autostart and simply work without further ado ;-)

    Maybe you’re my hero ;-)
